STRATEGY JAM: INVOLVEMENT AT ALL LEVELS IN STRATEGY EXECUTION
A Strategy Jam is the central place where employees of the organization meet, have discussions, exchange ideas and information. It offers the possibility to involve all employees online in generating ideas, sharing best practices and discuss key strategic agenda topics within the organization for a defined period (up to 72 hours).
Participants can log in the jam website 24 hours a day. Discussions around specific questions from the Board of Management take place in "virtual discussion rooms".
Prior to the Strategy Jam, the participants are invited to fill out a pre-jam survey to identify the main points of discussion. The content for the Strategy Jam is based on the results of the pre-jam survey.
During the Strategy Jam real-time polls are held regarding ideas, suggestions and barriers, mini-chat sessions are facilitated around specific topics, and video clips can be watched on specific strategic themes.
The active involvement and input from the Board of Management and Senior Management is essential for a successful Strategy Jam. The strength of the method lies in the interactive character that allows for an open dialogue across hierarchies.
The results of a Strategy Jam are wider knowledge-sharing and actionable ideas, and more inspired and engaged employees. It puts the Board of Management right at the heart of the organization, enabling strategic priorities and their execution to be anchored throughout the organization.
