SUPERVISORY BOARD


The MeyerMonitor team is supported by highly experienced professionals from both the supervisory board and international advisory board, who all have long track records in various industries, professional services and the academic world. Below you will find their profiles.



Fred Lachotzki

Fred Lachotzki is co-founder of MeyerMonitor and currently serves as Member of our Supervisory Board.

He has been a Nyenrode University faculty member for over thirty years, and since 1998 he is Professor of Strategic Entrepreneurship. He lectures in Nyenrode's MBA/MSc and Executive programs.

Mr. Lachotzki held various senior management positions in varying lines of business at Ahold NV, and management board positions at Unigro NV and ASKO AG, where he was appointed Vice-Chairman in 1991.

He has served or is still serving as Chairman and/or non-executive director on various boards within Europe, as well as in the U.S.A. and China. Professor Lachotzki is co-author of the book 'Beyond Control, Aligning Strategy and Execution through Corporate Dialogue' (Wiley, 2005)


Gerhard Nordemann

Gerhard Nordemann is Chairman of our Supervisory Board and Managing Partner at Gilde Equity Management. Gilde is an independent private equity firm with a longstanding dedication to making investments in mid-market companies. Mr. Nordemann joined Gilde in 1996 and has led over 25 buy out transactions. He has over 15 years of experience in private equity and corporate finance. Before working at Gilde, he was a consultant at KPMG Corporate Finance, specializing in corporate strategy and company valuations. He started his career in 1991 at Alcar, a Chicago based corporate finance consulting firm.

Mr. Nordemann holds various board seats and advisory positions at companies in The Netherlands and Belgium. He holds a degree in Economics from The Free University of Amsterdam.


John Deighton

John Deighton is member of our International Advisory Board and is the Harold M. Brierly Professor of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School (USA). Moreover, he is editor of the Journal of Interactive Marketing and Associate Editor of the Journal of Consumer Research. Mr. Deighton's work has been published widely in leading Marketing Journals, and he is a 'best article' award winner recognized by the American Marketing Association. Prior to joining the Harvard Business School, he was on the faculty of the University of Chicago, where he received the Hillel J. Einhorn Award for Excellence in Teaching, and Dartmouth College.


Maria Meyer

Maria meyer is member of our International Advisory Board. She was co-founder of Meyer Monitor, where she has been active as executive and non-executive director since 1999. In May 2006 she stepped down as executive to join the Advisory Board.

Maria Meyer studied French and Italian in Antwerp, Rijksuniversitair Centrum Antwerpen, and Milan, Università Statale. After graduation in 1973, she started her career as a translator and became Head of the translation office at Studio MGR in Milan. Back in the Netherlands she worked for AVRO and Het Koninklijke Instituut voor de Tropen. In 1981 she joined the faculty of Nyenrode University, where in 1983 she was appointed Director International Relations. After a sabbatical at Harvard Business School, participating in the Program for Management Development, she became Director External Relations in 1989. Ten years later she left Nyenrode to co-start Meyer Monitor.

Once a member of the steering committee for the European Women in Management Network in Brussels, among other things, she continues to stay involved in diversity-related issues.


Herman Krommendam

Herman Krommendam is an active member of Spencer Stuart’s global Technology, Communication & Media Practice. His functional expertise is in human resources.

Herman has 20 years of executive search experience during which he recruited a variety of senior executives for large and medium-sized corporations nationally as well as internationally in the profit and nonprofit sectors. Herman is experienced in working with international companies with multiple cultures. He also devotes attention to non-executive board positions, as well as to assessment of top management.

He began his career with the insurance company Groupe Europeen/U.A.P. as project manager of IT. Subsequently, he joined the international management consulting and recruiting company Mercuri Urval AS in the position of group manager. Next, he worked for Arcade Entertainment Holdings B.V., where he was responsible for the company's international human resources activities before joining Spencer Stuart in 1995.

Herman was co-publisher of the book Leading Cross-Border Mergers (2002), in which 12 CEOs of Dutch corporations were interviewed on the subject of their experience with international mergers. Herman started Spencer Stuart’s global, pro brono partnership with the United Nations' World Food Programme in 2004, he also is a member of the Supervisory Board of MeyerMonitor.

He graduated from the University of Amsterdam in Dutch language and literature, art management and business administration. He speaks Dutch and English fluently and has a working knowledge of German and French.


Willem Stevens

Willem Stevens is member of our International Advisory Board and an acclaimed Senior Partner of Caron & Stevens/Baker & McKenzie (The Netherlands). He presently serves on the Board of Directors for several Dutch companies, including AEGON N.V, TBI Holdings and NIB Capital NV. In addition, Mr. Stevens serves as Senator in the Dutch Parliament, he has served as Chairman of the Nederlandsche Maatschappij voor Nijverheid en Handel (Netherlands Association for Trade and Industry), and Governor of the Harvard Law School Association of Europe.
